Career Choice Decision
I initially became interested because of two main points:

Our family was very poor and paying for college would have been a struggle.

Long-term employment on the reservation is very slim.
Other Information
Jones is a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. National Guard and assisted in Afghanistan with crop practices. He used his knowledge from farm and ranch management to help people learn to plant crops in foreign countries. His work helped people feed their families and provide an income for them by selling their excess produce or grain.
