Special Career Skills

"You need to be able to multitask, deal with crisis situations and people that may not want to hear what you have to say. You need to be willing to constantly educate yourself and those around you. Most importantly, you need a passion to assist others."

I Like My Career Because

Three reasons why you like your career.

  1. Challenges are there every day and they are never the same.

  2. I enjoy giving back to Native People for the blessings the Creator has given to me and my family.

  3. It has always been a goal of mine to work for Indian Health Services. How did you become interested in this profession? "My aunt was a physician in Indian Country and while there were many challenges, she always talked with a sense of pride about the job she did and the lives she was able to positively have an impact on. Additionally, my mom worked for years trying to make a positive affect Indian Country, so it is only right that I follow in their footsteps.
