Pharmacy Technicians work in pharmacies that can be in drug stores, nursing homes, grocery stores or hospitals under the direction of a Pharmacist.

 

Technicians assist in measuring, mixing and labeling medications within a specified time frame.  They also maintain patient files and over-the-counter stock items. Computer work is also an essential component.

 

Good communication skills and paying attention to detail is important.
