Teaching Points
Animal health care is in many ways similar to human health care. Veterinarians have the opportunity to specialize either in large or small animals as well as marine mammals or zoo species.
Veterinarians teach you how to care for your animal with proper diet and living needs (cages, kennels, aquarium). They also check the animal by giving vaccinations, surgery and dental care. Like your doctor, the veterinarian helps sick animals get better.
Understanding the anatomy of a wide variety of animals, and a keen power of observation and skills to speak with the animal owners.
