Physicists study matter, energy and the interaction between them. Physics asks questions and by a physicist gathers the answers by observation through experiments.  

Trained physicists apply skills to fields in engineering, computing, and finance.  This career requires a doctoral degree. Strong emphasis on math problem solving, science, and being curious about the world around you are required.

 

Non Doctoral studies could lead to lab technicians and research assistants.
