Teaching Points

Therapist work with individuals, groups, and communities to improve mental health.  They encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences. Client issues could be associated with addiction and substance abuse, the death of a loved one, stress, parenting and more.

 

You may work in hospitals, clinics or mental health agencies.   Therapy sessions can be individual and group.

 

A keen sense to listen is an important factor. You need to learn how to set boundaries, use critical thinking and business management skills.
